No materials from this site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any form or by any means without our prior written permission. Any item that is showing as in stock on our website will either be at our premises, or available for us to get in from our UK based supplier at very short notice. We would never show an item in stock that we import from abroad, unless it already on our premises. All items showing as in stock, can be delivered within 2-5 working days. Items marked as ‘Out of stock’ are unlikely to come back into stock fast enough for us to be able to dispatch within our usual 2-5 working day timescale.
If you place an order that we are unlikely to be able to get to you within our standard delivery timeframe, we will contact you as soon as we become aware of this. If you would like to check stock with us prior to ordering, please just get in touch with the item reference and we will be more than happy to check for you.
We accept payments via Credit/Debit Card (using Stripe), PayPal, or bank transfer. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number in case of any order queries, or for a courier to contact you with regards to delivery. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon placing your order.
Delivery Rates – UK Mainland (excludes islands, highlands and Northern Ireland)
Deliveries will normally be dispatched using either a Royal Mail or a courier service, depending on the size and weight of your delivery. We are happy to deliver to your work address if you prefer. If we send your delivery using Royal Mail, we will be unable to allocate a safe place to leave your delivery. You can however set up a permanent safe place with them in advance. We advise not placing ‘safe place’ locations into your order comments as we are not able to guarantee that the carriers will use them, due to them being a third party.
Please be aware that if you opt for Royal Mail or a courier to leave the parcel in a safe place, you become liable in the event that something goes wrong with the delivery. We pay for a signed-for service that requires a signature. If you override this to not require a signature, that is your choice and therefore it becomes your responsibility if something happens to your parcel after we hand it to the courier and they deliver your parcel. Any issues regarding the delivery/safe place will need to be taken up with the courier.
Standard delivery is normally dispatched using a Royal Mail (Second Class) service or MyHermes courier (or equivalent). This option is valid for the UK Mainland and is expected to arrive within approximately 2-5 working days, although please note that this timescale is not guaranteed! Shipping costs are tiered as follows:
Basket value: £0 – £19.99 = £1.50
Basket value: £20 – £99.99 = £2.99
Basket value: £100 or greater = Free
Please be aware that personalised, printed or assembled orders will require additional processing time, in addition to the 5-10 working days. This will be detailed in the item description on the product page.
Please be aware that if you opt for the courier to leave the parcel in a safe place, you become liable in the event that something goes wrong with the delivery. We pay for a signed-for service that requires a signature. If you override this to not require a signature, that is your choice and therefore it becomes your responsibility if something happens to your parcel after we hand it to the courier and they deliver your parcel. Shipping fees include the handling and packing fees in addition to postage costs. It is recommended that you group your items into one order where possible, as we are unable to refund postage costs upon a request to combine orders that are placed separately.
Northern Scotland, Islands and Northern Ireland may be subject to an additional charge. If you fall under a higher-charge postcode you will be contacted before your order is completed.
International shipping is available. For overseas orders please get in touch for appropriate rates before placing your order.
Our standard delivery time for non-personalised, non-assembled items is 2-5 working days.
Sorry, as our invitations are cut to order, we are not usually able to offer a next-day service.
Sample Card Shipping: These are sent Second Class and most sample cards are delivered within approximately 2-5 working days of placing your sample order with us. Please note that this is not a guaranteed timescale.
We always recommend ordering your items as soon as possible, and allow as long as possible for your items to arrive, in case of low stock at busy periods. This will also mean that you pay as little as possible for your shipping. Please be aware that if an item arrives faulty, we will only refund standard (second class) shipping rates and not faster rates.
Please note that these delivery timescales are advisory only and public holidays and bad weather may affect delivery times. While we will always try and keep to them wherever possible, we cannot guarantee them.
While we will try and help to accommodate any comments that you enter when placing your order, please note that we are unable to allocate any special postage requirements. If in doubt, please contact us before placing your order.
If you require anything urgently, please feel free to contact us and we will always try and help. Please bear in mind that while we will do what we can, there may be an additional cost for an expedited delivery and we cannot guarantee delivery before the required date, as we are subject to external couriers. We will do what we can to help you though. 🙂
Please be aware that while we do what we can to honour our delivery timescales, we regret that we will not accept financial responsibility for you having to source products elsewhere (even if at additional cost) if we are unable to fill your order in time. If we make an error with your order or delivery (which is very unlikely, but we are still human) we may choose to refund your delivery costs at our discretion, but further compensation is not available under any circumstances. We always recommend ordering your items in plenty of time.

Northern Scotland, Islands and Northern Ireland may be subject to an additional charge. If you fall under a higher-charge postcode you will be contacted before your order is processed.
International Delivery Rates

All orders are sent by UK Mail Couriers, Special Delivery or Royal Mail Post. Every care is to taken to package your items carefully and with protection, but please note that Diy-Invites and Cards by Cally accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of goods during transit, although the parcel is covered with insurance. Recycled packaging is used where possible.
In the unfortunate event that any damages occur during transit, please notify us immediately by email within 7 days. If an item arrives damaged we will require clear photographs of the damaged items before we can send out replacement items. If you are unable to email through photographs of the damage, the broken items will need to be returned to us before replacements can be issued.
If you are in any way unhappy with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible via email and we will do what we can to rectify the problem.
We will gladly accept the return of non-personalised/non-assembled products for 14 days from the date of purchase, for any reason. They then need to be received back by us within 14 days of you notifying us of your intent to return. We do not accept returns after this period. In the extremely unlikely event that the wrong item is shipped or arrives damaged (photographs will need to be supplied), we will replace the item by sending out using a Tracked delivery (usually Royal Mail).
Please note that it is with regret that we are unable to refund or replace personalised items, assembled items, edible items (such as confectionery), or special order items.
International customers who receive damaged items or fulfilment mistakes will be given the option of the replacement items sent in their next order or a refund on that item only.
No goods are offered for sale or return on an approval basis. We advise ordering a single item as a sample prior to placing a larger if you would like to view the item prior to making a large order. We do not cover the costs of returning items unless the order has arrived faulty and was delivered within the UK. Please note that returns due to fault, shipping damage or manufacturing issues will be fully inspected prior to any refund of postage being issued.
We regret that we do not refund carriage costs unless photographs/return of the item clearly shows a fault and we are unable to send out a replacement in time for your event. Please note that we will only ever refund a standard delivery charge and not 1st class or next working day surcharges, as it is your preference to choose a faster delivery service.
Returns will need an R.M.A. before returning any item. This will be emailed to you as soon as we are aware of you being unhappy with your delivery. Please do not send any items back to us until we have confirmed a return address to you, as the return address may vary depending on whether it needs to go to our main address, or to a manufacturer. Items returned without confirmation of the address that subsequently need to be forwarded on to a different address will have the forwarding costs deducted from your refund. In the event of a return being necessary, please note that website purchases may only be returned to the address given by Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally to you by email. Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally does not accept responsibility for any returned item that is sent to an address that we have not specified to you for the purposes of your return, even if that address is one that is owned/used by Cards by Cally. In such instances no refund may be given.
Items returned because they did not arrive in time for your event, but were delivered within the timescales of the delivery method chosen, will only have the item cost refunded, not the delivery cost.
On rare occasions, usually due to the availability of stock, it may be necessary to alter designs slightly. The quality of the finished item will remain the same however. Most of our items are hand-crafted, so there may be slight variations amongst the designs, making each one unique. This is to be expected and is not considered a fault of manufacture.
While the paper mills and ribbon manufacturers do everything they can to maintain the same shading, we advise ordering all you may need in one go so that all of your order comes from one batch. Slight variations in shade are possible between different batches. In most instances they are not noticeable, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Camera and monitor/screen settings may reproduce colours differently to the actual product colours. We therefore cannot undertake to supply perfect colour matches to those seen on screen or sent by sample. We would however like to assure you that we will do everything in our power to provide as close to perfect goods and colours as we can for you.
Out of Stock Items
We will ship your product as soon as it becomes available. Usually, products ship the next business day after your order is received. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping.
It is our aim to keep your personal information as private and secure as possible. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your name, email, address, phone number, and a password. You have a choice to enter a date of birth (it is not compulsory). We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders, and to personalise your shopping experience. Any credit/debit card payments are made through a third party (such as PayPal or Stripe), and we do not see or store the card details. If you pay over the phone, your card number is typed directly into the payment processor. It is not written down and we do not store it. Once we have typed it in to process your payment, we no longer have access to view the card number or reuse it. Your card details are not anywhere on server.
We are happy to remove your details at any time from the UK-based server where our information is held. If you wish for us to do this, please just let us know. If you are currently awaiting a delivery, please be aware that you will need to confirm receipt of the delivery before we can remove your details. This is because we will no longer be able to issue any refunds to you once your details are removed from our server.
Although we do not sell or pass your private details (such as your name, address and telephone number) onto third parties (we do not agree with that!), we will need to pass these onto Royal Mail or an external courier, for the purposes of delivering your items. If we are in the situation of low stock, we may also need to pass this onto one of our suppliers, if they need to send any items to you directly. They will never be passed on to any other company for any other reason. Solely to our known couriers and suppliers, for the purposes of delivering (or collecting) your goods.
To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials and new additions to the Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally store sites. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.
We use “cookies” to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping cart at any time. If you would like more information on the cookies used on our site, please just get in touch and we will be happy to help you.
Diy-Invites.co.uk/Cards by Cally is not currently VAT registered, although it may happen soon. As/when this happens, our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax (VAT) for orders.
Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.
In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the product(s) listed at the incorrect price. Our Store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged or by other payments. If payment has already been taken for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your account on identifying the issue, to the amount of the incorrect price.
When you visit or use the website or any website linked to it, Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally shall not be liable for any:
i. Loss or damage occasioned to you, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or otherwise howsoever sustained; and/or
ii. Failure in performance, viruses, line failure or the like.
No warranties are provided or representations made that your visit to or use of the Site will be uninterrupted or free from defects or viruses.
These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether Diy-Invites/Cards by Cally signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.
This site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the operation of or content located on or through any such site. The appearance of any link on this site is not to be taken as a recommendation by us. If you find any link on this site offensive, please feel free to contact us so that we can investigate and remove it if necessary.
Images and Designs
All images and designs on this site are to be considered the property of Cards by Cally and may NOT be used, imitated or otherwise reproduced without prior written permission from Cards by Cally. If you wish to use one of our images, please use the contact page on this website to request permission.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law without observing any conflicts of law rules. By visiting or using the website you submit to the jurisdiction of the English Court in relation to any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions or your visit to or your use of the website and agree to commence proceedings relating to any such dispute in the English Court.
